Toshiba is the only laptops over 25 years that i seem to end up selling in one piece. Battery life is massively extended to around 4 hours when you turn off the blue decorative lights with the av controller version 1.0. Blue ray, NO BIG DEAL, have you heard off movie downloads. Unbelievable sound, greal movie pictures. Go for it. even better sound than my klipsch ipod player, that is WHEN i put in a headphone adaptor into the input socket. great speed. It then outputs sound at a crazy volume.

I don't just leave my laptop sitting at my desk, but size and weight aren't really a concern. I think Toshiba refers to one of them as a "sub-woofer" which is a bit silly, but they really do sound amazing for laptop speakers. I would prefer one more USB port on the back. I bought my first Toshiba laptop in 2003, and it lasted me through two years of college and three years of law school (when it got some pretty rough use from being hauled around to classes 5 days a week) in addition to serving as my only computer for entertainment, web browsing, etc. There is one USB port on the back and one on each side. Speaking of volume, these are the best laptop speakers I have ever heard. It comes packaged very well and shipped without any issues.

One of the key features I wanted that not many other models had was an HDMI out. I've been using it for roughly two months without any issues. Having a built in webcam is nice as well. Another thing I really like about Toshiba laptops is the physical volume control, but I have to say that I liked the one on my last Toshiba far better. Physically, the laptop is very attractive.

Since it lasted so long, I opted to get another when it finally started to show its age.The Toshiba laptops (like Sony) generally seem to cost a bit more than what you'd pay for some American models with similar specs. Of course they're not as good as an external set, but when I'm moving my laptop around the room, I don't mind the sound quality if I don't have it plugged into my speakers. It also doesn't "stop" when you've got the volume down to mute- the control keeps spinning. This has some bulk to it, but not problematic. This one is placed on the palm rest, so I sometimes adjust the volume uninentionally when typing.

When i started to install Windows Vista y showed an error and a file was missing or corrupted, i tired everything, finally i had to install another new vista that i had to purchase sin it doesn't come with cd installers

Very good look, all my friends liked the style, it looks tough and huge but doesn't weigh much, has a manly look.Pros+ Nvidia 9700 GTS, played crysis with high resolution, very good.+ Harman Kardon Speakers, nice song quality, this is the best laptop speakers i ever heard.+ GPS , i never had a chance to use this+ FM tuner( not getting signal without antenna)+ 4 GB RAM , 64 bit Vista+ High Resolution Display + Nice Glossy Keyboad , nice to type+ Illuminated media controls give a cool look.+ Cam quality is qood, compared with Mac Book of my friends, mine is better.It has lot of advantages and some disadvantages.Cons- lack of inbuilt bluetooth ( but the website says, it has one, even confirmed with amazon support , it don't have bluetooth inbuilt)- the GPU seems to be over heated during game play, that causes the system to power down suddenly- It is tough to fit in a standard laptop messenger bag.

The colors look great.I was a little disappointed in the lack of built in bluetooth especially since the web pages on Amazon, Newegg, and Toshiba seemed to indicate that this model would have a bluetooth receiver built in. The pros outweigh the cons by quite a bit. Making recovery DVD's is very easy also. I just went out and got a small IOGEAR bluetooth receiver and used that.On startup, you get to choose whether to load up 32bit or 64bit vista.

It outperforms the graphics on Alienware machines costing more. The bottom of the laptop says it is a F55-Q504, but there are no bluetooth stickers, etc, anywhere on it and no option to turn bluetooth on.

I was very pleased with the level of graphics performance for the price. The Toshiba web site shows two models the F55-Q504 (supposedly with bluetooth) and the F55-Q5041 (without bluetooth).

I looked at quite a few to get this level of graphics performance at this price. The Nvidia 9700M GTS was perfect for my needs.

The 3dmark 2006 score I got was 7305.
